Orb Data's Self-Service Solution

Our ground-breaking Self-Service Portal (SSP) hands systems management power to the application owners

Orb Data Limited, an 'AAA' rated IBM partner and specialist in supporting business automation, security and data compliance solutions, has announced the launch of a web portal application designed to provide self-service  configuration of enterprise monitoring.

 

Developed in tandem with one of the UK’s largest banks, the Self-Service Portal (SSP) is a management tool that allows application owners to select and configure systems monitoring for any new systems they bring into production. It replaces the web front-ends that many enterprises have built themselves for the multiple systems management products they typically use at the back-end.

 

Traditionally, Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) involves a single team being responsible for all aspects of ESM delivery: mastering the ESM software, establishing and maintaining service capabilities, defining suitable standards or defaults, processing incoming requests and managing exceptions. However, this single team approach often results in an unnecessary bottleneck.
